visit to georgetown

Lauren Clay and I headed to Georgetown Thursday to get pictures of the President's house for the next watercolor in line for the college series. My goal is to get it started (and hopefully finished) this weekend while Lauren Clay is away. Hopefully inspiration, concentration and a steady hand will all come together at once... that's what it takes to have a productive watercolor weekend!

We picked up Ga Ga and she sat in the car with Lauren Clay while I took pictures of the house. We met Grandadaddy for lunch, but had some extra time while he finished up a meeting. Lauren Clay decided she'd use the extra few minutes to clean up sticks in the grassy area inside Giddings Circle.

She is wearing her new shoes and some new jeans we got her for Fall. It's been tough to know how to dress these past few weeks. We're experiencing July temps, but it just doesn't seem right to dress Lauren Clay in summery clothes the second week in October. Hopefully the heat will break (again) soon!
