trip to knoxville

Lauren Clay had a great trip to Knoxville to attend her first non-UK SEC game. I was a little nervous that she was going to keep her grandaddy up all night the day before he had to work in the replay booth, but apparently she was a little angel all weekend. She's been talking about the trip all week (loves the Smokey mascot she got while she was down there) and John's a little nervous she's going to want to attend UT for college. He's already let her know that she is free to attend, but that her college fund will be applied to a boat or summer home instead of her Big Orange education!
It's fun for me to see these pictures because I have such fond memories of going to Knoxville for dad's games growing up. They stayed in the same hotel we always stayed in, although the name has since changed and the band and cheerleaders no longer stop by for a pep rally on the morning of the game. It's probably best that the cheerleaders didn't come by while Lauren Clay was there; she might have returned home singing "Rocky Top"... and John might not have let her in the house! Here Lauren Clay is watching the shiny elevators. Apparently she rode them a lot!
