new camera

Mom and dad went ahead and gave Lauren Clay her gift to celebrate Ty's arrival so she could break it in before he's born. These are a few of the pictures she took with her new digital camera. She LOVES it, and we got lots of great laughs watching her learn to use it. She snaps pictures left and right, and gets a wonderfully satisfied look as she does it. I think the hardest we laughed tonight was when we realized she was pressing the view finder hard against her eyes and closing them, so she was just guessing where to aim the camera. These pictures also probably document our last Sunday night eating dinner at the duck pond, although we've been saying this for the past three or four Sundays. We keep thinking the weather will turn cold, but we've been blessed with beautiful evenings each week-- and each week we all say it was the best weather yet. Looks like it may be Tyler's arrival that ends the Sunday night dinners on the water; we're down to less than 2 weeks!
