We have spent 5 fun days in Washington D.C. with Uncle Jon. It is amazing how fast 5 days can fly by when you are having fun and there are so many things to see. We all love visiting D.C. and never get tired of the monuments and museums. This picture was taken from within the Lincoln Memorial. We also visited the Jefferson Memorial, World War II Memorial, The Washington, D.C. Zoo, The Holocost Museum, the Naval Observatory which includes the residence for the Vice President and the Headquarters of the Secret Service along with the Secret Service museum and gift shop. We've enjoyed spending time in Alexandria and Old Town. We also had an opportunity to visit one of John's best friends from high school, Glenn Jones, who now lives in Baltimore. It has been great spending a week with Uncle Jon!!!!
Uncle Jon had a birthday party for Lauren Clay complete with balloons, bubbles, a cake and fun toys.
Shannon and Uncle Jon at the World War II Memorial.
Lauren Clay was able to see elephants for the first time at the Washington Zoo.
DC is beautiful, especially at night!

Hi Shannon,
You weren't too far from my neck of the woods:). I bet Lauren Clay had a nice time with your brother and viewing the city. Looks like you had a good time.
