circus, etc.

We went down to see the fire department give the circus elephants a bath this afternoon. Here they're escorting the lovely (but dirty) ladies to the bathing area:
Feels so good: Heading back for a nap:

Here are a few shots from last night's circus. Mom has more; I'll add them soon.

Lauren Clay was really into the show this year. She also talked granddaddy into buying her this swirly light stick. She saw the one she wanted and told the worker that's what she had to have. Although he told her they were out of that one, he dug around and found an extra one for her. She definitely knows what she wants, but she's not excessive. Quite often we will go shopping and when I ask if she wants something, she'll pleasantly decline.

Ty liked the circus, too, although it was past his bedtime so he was wiggly through a lot of the show. He often clapped (at the right times!) and intently watched the Asian dancers. We're not sure if he ever spotted the elephants. He was more interested in the straw in the lady's drink behind us.

This was the good version of the circus: the Bello version. We love this ring master and we enjoy Bello's antics. Of course, we loved the music, but we were partial to it because we know (through Miles) one of the keyboard players. He and Miles were on the Beauty and the Beast national tour together. This guy also played on the first national tour of Wicked. Very fun.

Lauren Clay is back in her bed for the second time because she's being feisty. She often gets like this when she hasn't had enough of a nap...
