Most of our video lately has featured Lauren Clay, but Ty has been doing some adorable stuff as well. One of things we enjoy most is watching him with a microphone. Any ideas what he's talking about here?
Before I forget, here are some of the cute things Lauren Clay has been saying as a young 3-year old:
She talks about "Hannah Manna Ontana" (although she's never seen the show). On Saturday she had John play Hannah Montana and then later Libby said she was Miley Cyrus.
When we ask who takes care of Clifford, she says, "Emily Bisthabeth." I need to catch these on video because she works very hard at pronouncing the words correctly. Once she gets a tough down, it's a challenge to get her to say it the wrong way for the camera! Every once in a while she'll say, "when I was little I used to say lellow" (or whatever word she's now learned to say correctly).
We have started family worship on weeknights. The first night, John let Lauren Clay strum one of the songs while he created the right cords. On the second night she said, "I want to play "King Turns" again!" We couldn't figure out what she was talking about until John's music fell open to the song she had "played" the night before: Now unto the King eternal, unto the King immortal, unto the King invisible, the only wise God....
After gymnastics the teacher puts stamps on the kids' arms and legs. Recently we were watching a Keith Urban music video and when the camera angle revealed a tatoo, Lauren Clay squealed, "look-- he has stamps just like I get at gymnastics!"
On our way in to Mother's Day Out Thursday, we saw a thin, blond mom getting into her car. Lauren Clay pulled me close and said, "Mom, she looks like a Pollypocket."
I'm off to take the kids to dinner at grandmother and grandaddy's!
