weekend warriors

It was a dreary, rainy, muggy weekend around here, and John finished putting the new windows in Saturday and Sunday. My job was to keep Lauren Clay engaged in things that would keep her mind off helping her daddy. Here's John replacing an old window, along with the picture of the almost-finished product:

Here are some pictures of what Lauren Clay and I did while John worked.

-We made the base for a piƱata (Lauren Clay did not like the feel of the flour/water mix, as you an see in the photo.) I think we're going to eventually make this into Mickey Mouse, but we'll wait for another rainy day for that.

We washed dishes:

Church Sunday night was great, partially because Lauren Clay happily joined other 2 year olds in the nursery. After church, we went to Max and Erma's with the McVay clan. Lauren Clay and Connor spent most of the dinner in Larry's lap, eating the croutons off his salad. Lauren Clay was especially fond of the blue cheese dressing-- she was sticking her hand in it and licking it off before the dinner was over!
