much improved monday

By last night, Sunday night, the weather had improved enough for us to join "Gran-da-daddy" at the pool while John played golf. We also ran out to the Bradley's to pick up some backyard toys for Lauren Clay. Lauren Clay was itching to play in the house last night, but between the late time and the number of mosquitos, we brought her in with the promise to let her play in the house all morning Monday. As I upload this blog, Lauren Clay is reading books. This picture shows her reading a book about a pug; Kristina, Bobby and Libby gave it to her for her birthday. I'm enjoying listening to her "read"... she is making the sound effects I make when I read it to her (snores when the pug is sleeping, makes smacking noises when the pug is eating, etc.) She also opened the front cover where Kristina had written a sweet note, and I heard her say, "Bobby, Kristina, Libby."
