backtracking to july 4

We had dinner and dessert (and watched a few fireworks from the deck) at the Oldham's house July 4th. Lauren Clay helped make the brownies... she cracked at least half a dozen eggs in addition to the ones that went in the brownies. She has an interesting technique (knocks the egg on the side of the bowl, then squeezes), and somehow she manages to keep all the shell in her hands and out of the mix! She had her bath before icing the brownies (what were we thinking?!!)
