Cousin Megan and Steffen are engaged, as of Saturday afternoon. I'm trying to upload some pics, but so far the attempts are unsuccessful. Here's some video to document the day, though:
Ever since Megan asked Lauren Clay to be her flowergirl (see video below), Lauren Clay has been telling all sorts of people the great news, including fellow shopper at WalMart and our check-out girl at Kroger. She'll say, "I'm three, almost four, and when I turn four, I get to be a flo.....w......er g...i....rl."
Ty has learned how to create sounds with one of Lauren Clay's little whistles, and is now trying to master the harmonica. He figured out how to play it this afternoon:
John and Lauren Clay are outside looking at a little hummingbird that came to snack on the feeder we hung for her last week. I tried to snap a picture, but she flew away. I'm going to mix up some nectar and add it to the feeder. Now that she knows we're here, hopefully she'll return for a picture.

Exciting news for your family and especially Lauren Clay. Nick is sitting here speaking spanish colors with Dora....we need to start spanish again! :) Love the July commentary. Good job of keeping track of everyone's progress. Nick had so many changes in this last year that I fear that I have let some slip by but such is life. We are back from St. Louis so hopefully, I can catch up on my blog too. Have a good week! karen
girl, you are showing everyone up on your blogging - well, at least that is what my husband told me tonight while he was waiting to go out to dinner to a restaurant called "crawdads" in sacramento, ca. i got in trouble for not posting more :-). i so enjoyed reading through yours though and loved seeing the dressy outfits that you talked about. so, so glad that the pukes are over. you feeling ok? CONGRATS to megan - i know she is super pumped. is it going to be this year???
