baby brother

I just opened my old computer and was able to look at friends' blogs. As I was enjoying looking at the pictures of Sutton and Wyatt (babies born around John Tyler's birthday), I realized I haven't posted any pictures of Ty in a long time. Here are a few

This was taken a couple weeks ago (11/26).
This one is from 11/29. We were at the hotel in Birmingham to take Papa home. Both kids had fallen asleep in my lap while John was off visiting with his dad. I kept thinking Lauren Clay would wake up so I could resituate, but we stayed like this for over 2 hours.
This picture was taken at Nana and Papa's house in early December, so Ty was about 4/5 weeks old. Ty was looking in the mirror (and I think he fell asleep in this position.) I thought it was precious to see his little legs tucked up under him. I've let him nap on his belly, but I've read a few research articles on SIDS and I'm now determined to make him a back sleeper.
When we returned from Alabama, we couldn't believe how much more Ty filled his bassinet. He's still a skinny thing, but he's gotten long over the past few weeks. This picture was taken December 9, so he was about 5 weeks old.

I have an album of John's baby pictures, by the way, and he and Ty look identical up to this point. I'll try to scan in a few of the pictures and post them next to ones we've taken of Ty. Sometime.

I can't wait to get all the babies together in one room! I like the tummy picture the best. They are so sweet like that....I know it is better the other way but they look so much happier that way...all cuddled up and snuggly!

Good Job on running one mile. I am still trying to walk 2 miles to get back in a routine for everyday excercise....not there yet! I am hoping my very healthy and excercising in-laws will get me in the mood or at least make me feel like a clod because they do so much and I do so little. My 69 year old MIL does pilates, aerobics, and wt. training. Ugh! :) They have a great walk around their neighborhood so I am hoping for inspiration.

We are just getting ready to travel so if you and the kids need an outing today or tomorrow, feel free to drop by for some activity.

Also, Pat and I were discussing that we would like to start some friend traditions for Nick here since we don't have family close-by. Since you are crafty, Do you think a cookie decorating/gingerbread type Bunco families plus a few other friends would be fun or can you think of something else that we could get everyone to do? Just looking for ideas. Have a great day! Karen

Shannon,
It is great having you back in town and on the computer. I do hope we can get together with the girls tomorrow. I don't know when I am going to start running. I have been feeling prompted to give up tv so maybe I can start run/walking during that extra time. Now is as good a time as any since I am officially off school for the next twelve days. And I would much rather run when it is cold than warm! akml
