Lauren Clay woke up this morning asking for her pool, so we cleaned it out (notice the suds), then filled it. Lauren Clay helped fill the pool, then played in it for most of the afternoon. She is definitely a water baby, and loves to be outside! Last night before bed, John took Henry out back to take care of business, and Lauren Clay cried-- actually, threw a fit-- because he wouldn't let her get back in the pool. Of course, we have spent much of today in the pool again.

Below, she is sporting her new swimsuit from Nana. She took a swimming break to help water some of the hanging plants (one is a hanging cherry tomato plant-- we should have a good 30 tomatoes ready to eat by the end of the week!) We have lots of herbs and veggies planted in the containers along the fence. Hopefully we'll have a decent yield this summer, but even if we don't, we have had fun planting and tending things so far. We also planted watermelon and canteloupe in the backyard. We may live to regret that, as we have heard that those vines can take over... but again, it will be a fun experience for Lauren Clay to (hopefully) eat the fruits of our labor!
